How BORG Buybacks Work
We buy BORG back on the open market in two ways. Every week, exchange fees fund the buybacks behind your cashback. Every quarter, we set an extra buyback and ask the community how much of it to burn.
Cashback Buybacks, Every Week
Every exchange you make in the app has a fee. We convert those fees to USDC, buy BORG with them on the market and credit it back to members as cashback. Fees you pay in BORG skip the conversion.
Buyback and Burn, Every Quarter
Each quarter we set an extra buyback, sized by the Sustainability Score, which tracks how active members are. Then we ask the community how much of that BORG to burn. Amounts can change for operational or market reasons.

BORG Token FAQ
BORG is the utility token of the SwissBorg app. Members who hold and lock BORG unlock Premium tiers with lower fees on transactions and services, early access to new features and products, and, at higher tiers, priority support. Holders can also take part in community referendums, which are consultative and give no shareholder rights or dividends.
BORG runs on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token and on Solana as an SPL token. It was first issued on Ethereum and then bridged to Solana. The official addresses, as published in the BORG white paper:

The maximum supply of BORG is 981,853,000 tokens, as stated in the BORG white paper. There is no mechanism to increase it. Burns, subject to community approval, can reduce the circulating supply over time.
